Sunset View Cottage is a free standing, unique couple’s getaway. It is set on a small holding with spectacular views of the Southern Drakensberg mountain range looking directly at Hodgsons Peaks and the famous SANI PASS.
Enjoy evening drinks with the beautiful sunsets, romantic dinners on the patio or star gazing around the outdoor stone firepit.
Load shedding is managed with an Inverter and backup generator so there is little disruption during your stay.
From the back gate of the property there is access to the Umzimkulu River and weir where Underberg gets its water from. A picnic set and walking sticks are available in the cottage.

Sunset View Cottage is in a rural setting but 2 Kms away from all amenities such as SuperSpar, Tops, Butchery, Restaurants etc.
Peace and tranquillity are guaranteed on this special property.
Come and relax away from the city stress. Be as sedentary as you like or choose to be very active with the many outdoor activities that our beautiful area offers.
The hosts are always available as they live on the property. There is a book of updated information in the cottage but the hosts can assist with bespoke activities such as Sani Pass Tours, Hiking, Bird Tours, Cycling routes and Horse Riding.
We have very friendly dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and donkeys on the properly. They love to interact with guests if they are encouraged to do so.

There are also beautiful views over the neighbouring farmlands and the  Umzimkulu River in the distance.
The cottage is set in the natural landscape of Underberg. The design emphasis was drawn from the natural surrounding rock, indigenous grasses and wide-open spaces that provide stunning views.
